Potter, Dorothy E. '45 Memorial Scholarship

In 1958 Professor Ella O. Keene established the Dorothy Elizabeth Potter Award for Proficiency in English. In 1992 the award was developed into an endowed scholarship through a gift from the brothers and sister of Dorothy E. Potter, a graduate from Keene Teachers College in 1945 and teacher in New Hampshire until her death in 1957. The scholarship will be awarded to full-time juniors or seniors who have chosen English as their major course of study and who intend to teach English after graduation. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and demonstrate financial need. Given continued eligibility, a student may have this scholarship renewed.
