Johnson, Robert L.Sr. '42 and Alice G. '43 Student Teaching (Practicum) Scholarship
The purpose of this endowment shall be to defray the cost of tuition and fees associated directly with participation in student teaching (practicum) for regular Keene State College requirements for pre-school, elementary, or secondary school teacher certification as defined by the College’s Teacher Certification Program. Robert L. Johnson graduated from Keene Teachers College in 1942 with a degree in Industrial Arts Education. Alice G. Johnson graduated from Keene Teachers College in 1943 with a degree in Home Economics. As lifelong residents of New Hampshire, they shared an enduring commitment to education in the state. This fund is created in their honor. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to students who are participating in the student teaching (practicum) for regular Keene State College requirements for pre-school, elementary, or secondary school teacher certification as defined by the College’s Teacher Certification Program, who have demonstrated financial need as determined through normal College procedures and a preference shall be given to students whose permanent residence is the State of New Hampshire.
