Menard, Kendall C. '60 and Carlene W. '62 Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Kendall by family members, former classmates and friends. Ken was highly respected in the community and retired from a 32 year teaching career of which the last 30 were at the Keene Middle School. He coached high school basketball and baseball, umpired for over 15 years, and worked tirelessly to promote youth sports programs. The purpose of this endowment is to provide recognition and financial assistance to students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Education program or a teacher certification. Consideration shall be given to part-time, full-time, traditional or non-traditional students with preference to individuals who are interested in coaching a sport. Entering freshman must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Transfer students and returning students must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students with financial need but this is not an absolute criterion.
